The Leibniz Supercomputing Centre (LRZ) is operating a pilot AI service infrastructure. One of the system segments consists of 4x NVIDIA DGX A100 systems based on A100 GPUs with 80GB high bandwidth memory, 1x NVIDIA DGX A100 system based on A100 GPUs with 40GB high bandwidth memory and 1x NVIDIA QM8700 Infiniband (IB) switch. All component were delivered with a 3-year hardware and software/firmware maintenance support contract. We intend to procure a follow-up contract in order to prolong the hardware and software/firmware maintenance support initially for one year. The offered maintenance support contract must also include the option for prolongation up to the end of service life. The offered support contract for hardware and software/firmware M maintenance needs to have an initial term for one year. The offered support contract for hardware and software/firmware maintenance must include the option for annual extension, on a year-by- year basis, up to (and including) the end of service life. The option can be exercised by the LRZ unilaterally and without the consent of the contractual partner. The option must be exercised no later than one month before the end of the respective contract period. The basis for deciding whether to take up the option are the available budgetary funds and the possibility of continuing to operate the system in an economically viable manner.
